About

Utsav Silwal is a research associate at the Himalayan Research Forum Nepal (HRFN). His work sits at the intersection of land policy, indigenous peoples’ rights, and translating academic research into real-world impact. Utsav has led and supported several collaborative initiatives, including the Nepal–Japan Project (2024–2025) with Waseda University, University of the Sacred Heart, and National College, and has contributed to youth leadership and science communication through the NextGen Youth Fellowship and Nakshatra magazine. He has also coordinated the Science Journalism Mentorship Program–II, organized by the Nepal Forum for Science Journalists
